Section 01
About these Terms
These Terms govern your use of the Taramon website and its available account, learning, early-access, and contribution features. Taramon is operated by Jabez Collano ("Taramon", "we", "us"). You can reach the operator at support@taramon.app.
By creating an account, submitting content, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms take effect on October 15, 2026. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
Section 02
What Taramon provides
Taramon is a Filipino-to-Bikol language-learning and community-contribution project. The service is in development. Sample demonstrations, early-access registration, accounts, and contribution tools may be available before the complete learning experience.
Descriptions of planned features are not a promise of a particular release date or permanent availability. Joining the early-access list or clicking the support button does not purchase a product, create an investment, or guarantee an invitation.
Section 03
Age and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, join the early-access list, or submit contributions. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, use Taramon with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian who has reviewed these Terms. Any higher minimum age or additional consent requirement imposed by applicable law still applies.
Do not provide a false age or use someone else's account to avoid these requirements. A parent or guardian who believes a child has supplied information inappropriately can contact support@taramon.app.
Section 04
Your account and responsibilities
Provide accurate account information, use a username you are entitled to use, and keep your credentials secure. Do not impersonate another person, share access to a privileged role, or create accounts to bypass restrictions. Tell the operator if you believe your account has been compromised.
Google sign-in is optional and is also subject to Google's terms. You remain responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Taramon may require verification before granting access or acting on an account request.
Section 05
Respectful and permitted use
Use Taramon to learn and share language in a way that respects other people and their rights. Do not:
- Submit unlawful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, deceptive, or privacy-invasive material.
- Copy protected dictionary entries, recordings, or other works unless you have permission or another lawful basis to use them.
- Upload malicious content, exploit vulnerabilities, access someone else's data, or interfere with the service.
- Evade submission limits, manipulate support counts or credits, send spam, or use automated access that disrupts the website.
- Misrepresent your identity, contribution rights, review authority, or affiliation with Taramon.
Report suspected errors or security concerns privately rather than testing them against other users or their information.
Section 06
Contributor Content
You keep ownership of any rights you may have in translations, corrections, example sentences, pronunciation notes, or other content you submit to Taramon.
By submitting content, you give Taramon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, display, publish, edit, adapt, format, and incorporate that content into Taramon and related services for the purpose of operating, improving, maintaining, and providing the service.
This license allows Taramon to review submissions, correct formatting or spelling, combine similar submissions, create improved versions, and display accepted contributions to other users.
You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that Taramon's permitted use of it will not violate another person's rights.
Submitting content does not guarantee that it will be published or remain in the service. Taramon may accept, reject, edit, replace, or remove submitted content as part of its review process.
You continue to own your contribution. This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Taramon.
For a removal request or a rights complaint, email the operator with enough information to identify the contribution and explain your concern. This license does not override your statutory personal-data rights.
Section 07
Review, credits, and moderation
Submitting a phrase does not guarantee approval, publication, credit, or a review deadline. Reviewers may request clarification, correct spelling, distinguish local dialects, reject duplicates, or remove inappropriate or inaccurate material. Feature and submission limits may apply.
Credits reflect approved contributions and your public-credit setting. They are recognition, not payment or a promise of employment, ownership in Taramon, or a permanent rank. You can disable public credits on the Contribute page.
Trusted-helper and administrator access is granted for operating the community and may be changed or withdrawn. If you believe a moderation decision is mistaken, contact the operator with the affected submission and a brief explanation.
Section 08
Language accuracy and appropriate reliance
Bikol words, spelling, pronunciation, and usage vary by place and context. Community review improves quality but cannot guarantee that every translation is complete, current, or suitable for every situation.
Taramon is an educational resource, not a certified translation service. For medical, legal, emergency, or other consequential communication, obtain help from a qualified person and independently verify the meaning. You may report a translation error for review.
Section 09
The website and its materials
Rights in Taramon's original branding, artwork, interface, software, and editorial materials belong to their respective owners or licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of those materials or permission to imply endorsement. Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their own licenses.
You may use the website for its intended learning and contribution purposes. Nothing here claims exclusive ownership over a language, common words, facts, or material that applicable law leaves free for everyone to use.
Section 10
Privacy and external services
The Privacy Policy explains the information handled through accounts, contributions, early access, and the support button. It also explains your choices and how to make a privacy request.
External websites and sign-in providers operate under their own policies. A link to another service does not mean Taramon controls or endorses all of its content or practices.
Section 11
Availability and account restrictions
Features may change or become temporarily unavailable for maintenance, development, security, or circumstances outside the operator's control. Keep a copy of important original contributions; the service is not a personal backup facility.
Access or content may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these Terms, security risks, abuse, or legal obligations. Where appropriate, the operator may explain the reason and allow a response; urgent safety or security action may come first. You may stop using the service and request account deletion through the contact details below.
Section 12
Inactive accounts and early-access expiry
Our planned retention policy is to delete accounts after 50 consecutive days of inactivity and expire early-access email registrations after 7 days. These scheduled deletion processes are not yet active. Do not rely on inactivity or the passage of seven days to remove your data; contact support@taramon.app to request removal now.
The Privacy Policy's retention section explains the current position and the intended time limits. The policy will be updated when scheduled deletion is operational.
Section 13
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent applicable law permits, Taramon is provided on an "as available" basis without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free content, or fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for assessing whether a translation suits your situation.
To the extent legally permitted, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, excuses fraud or willful misconduct, or removes mandatory consumer or privacy rights. Applicable law takes priority over a conflicting limitation.
Section 14
Questions, complaints, and disputes
Please contact support@taramon.app with the relevant account or contribution details and the outcome you are seeking. We aim to resolve concerns directly and fairly. Do not include passwords or unnecessary identity documents.
Nothing in these Terms requires private arbitration, waives a right to bring a claim, or prevents you from contacting a competent court, consumer authority, or privacy regulator. Mandatory protections and the jurisdiction rules that apply to you remain in effect.
Section 15
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as the service develops or legal requirements change. The revision date identifies the current version. Material changes should be brought to users' attention through an appropriate notice, and additional agreement will be requested where required.
Changes do not retroactively expand rights over previously submitted content where new permission is required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
